Audi and FC Red Bull Salzburg have enjoyed a successful partnership since 2005. This premium partnership has now been extended to 2024. More on this also in a joint video.
FC Red Bull Salzburg and Audi launched their joint journey into sustainable mobility back in August. In addition to performance, dynamics and design, electric mobility also puts the focus on the drive technology of tomorrow. Players, staff, officials and management of Austria's most successful soccer club took delivery of their Audi vehicles in August - including the Audi Q4 e-tron, Audi e-tron Sportback, Audi e-tron S, Audi Q7 TFSIe and Audi Q5 TFSIe. Together with FC Red Bull Salzburg, the brand is setting an example on the road to the electric future.
With the extension of the partnership to 2024, half of the team vehicles are electrified for the first time this year. Audi is working with FC Red Bull Salzburg to raise awareness of the forward-looking concept of electric mobility.
"It is a logical decision for us to extend our excellent partnership with Austria's most successful soccer club for another three years," explains Thomas Beran, Audi Austria brand manager. "We will continue to equip the FC Red Bull Salzburg team with our premium products and accompany them safely as well as environmentally friendly on Austrian roads to their destinations."
Stephan Reiter, Managing Director of the club, says: "Just as FC Red Bull Salzburg as a club has great visions and wants to play the soccer of tomorrow in the process, our premium partner Audi also thinks and acts with vision and looking to the future! We are pleased that our contractually renewed cooperation focuses not only on proven quality, but especially strongly on e-mobility!"
MOON charging power for players and fans
The Red Bull Arena is also being equipped for electromobility. A total of twelve MOON POWER charging points - eight internal charging points for employees and four public charging points in front of the Bull's Corner - have already been installed. These enable fast and safe charging, benefiting the team as well as fans and visitors to the stadium.
Thomas Beran: "The focus of our strategic orientation is on sustainable premium mobility. That's why we want to set an example for our path into the electric future by electrifying the FC Red Bull Salzburg fleet and equipping the stadium with charging points."
Audi and FC Red Bull Salzburg
Audi can look back on a long and successful history in soccer, with high-profile partnerships such as with German record champions FC Bayern Munich, top European club Real Madrid and top English club Tottenham Hotspur from London. This world-class portfolio has been supplemented since 2005 by FC Red Bull Salzburg, which has become a permanent player in European soccer in recent years. The partnership between Audi and the top club is a success story: the club has won twelve championship titles, eight cup victories, participated in the Europa League eleven times and qualified for the UEFA CL group stage three times during their time together. Audi is proud to be part of this success.
