Volkswagen OTLG (Original Parts Logistics) is massively expanding its range of services relating to electromobility. Since January 1, 2021, the group subsidiary has been working with MOON, a brand of Porsche Holding Salzburg. The cooperation agreement grants OTLG exclusive rights to distribute MOON products and solutions on the German market. In addition to the Group's own products, the company thus has access to a further extensive portfolio.
In March 2020, Volkswagen OTLG took over the support of dealers of the VW Passenger Cars, VW Commercial Vehicles, Audi, SEAT and ŠKODA brands in terms of e-mobility. Since then, the subsidiary has been supplying the Group's charging stations to meet standard requirements at the dealerships. The MOON cooperation will in future add charging infrastructure solutions such as hyperchargers with up to 300 kW capacity, hardware and software for load management, storage technology, and products for generating electricity for internal use. The new service is rounded off by a comprehensive range of consulting services from the Group brands and advice on subsidies.
"The new e-vehicles of the group brands are now increasingly ready for marketing and the positive response from customers ensures that the demand for further charging infrastructure is growing," Volkswagen OTLG explained. As a result, the challenges in terms of electricity volumes, load management, self-power generation, storage technology and more powerful charging stations will also grow.
