The Mettmach Solar and Industrial Park rents out standardized commercial space on a short- and long-term basis. The property consists of a total of five warehouses, which are among the most energy-efficient warehouses in Austria.
"The halls consist of an innovative glulam pine construction with the best possible thermal insulation and integrated underfloor heating powered by an air-source heat pump. State-of-the-art fiber optic connections are a matter of course, as are two ultra-fast charging stations from MOON," emphasizes Herbert Gotthalmseder, Managing Director of Solar- und Gewerbepark Mettmach. Both cars and trucks can be charged at up to 150 kW. The charging process takes only a few minutes.
The energy required for this comes from the roof. A 200 kWp photovoltaic system is installed on each of the five halls. Environmentally friendly solar power thus supplies the Mettmach industrial park. Solar power that is not used during the day is stored on site and is thus available in the early morning and evening hours. The storage system from Xelectric has a capacity of 360 kWh and 250 kW. This is sufficient to supply the charging stations with solar power, even during the night hours.
"Solar power is thus available around the clock for electric cars," highlights Rupert Haslinger, MOON project manager.
